I've got a few anime playlists I like to listen to when I'm in the mood. I try to switch genre/bands often so I don't get burned out though, haven't listened to my anime songs in 2 weeks.

That's actually what I look for at the beginning of a new anime...generally speaking if i like the theme song and the anime itself, I get the theme song...most of the time I look at the opening although I have gotten a few end theme songs such as Bleach's Thank You!! Rap song at the end. The anime club at my school liked it so much that we actually made it our club's theme song!

I don't just listen to anime songs. I sprinkle in German, Turkish, Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish stuff in.

I always watch the whole video .Some animes have better OPS than EDS and vice -versa.Some have great OPS and EDS.I always comment on a show If I like the music. And in fact have a YOU-Tube Playlist.

In general not outside of the respective anime.
But of cause there are some few very nice OP/ED songs to which I listen or even buy (e.g. High High High from Usagi Drop). And there are some timeless classics like Cruel Angel Thesis or Country Roads version from "Mimi o Sumaseba".
