How often do you use your wii?
Posted 9/5/12
I don't really hear too many people talking about the wii anymore, or being advertised, so i'm just curious as to how many people out there actually still play their wii.

Personally I haven't touched it in years, but my little brothers and sisters still do, and whenever there is a family get together we play, but that's it. I think the main reason for this is b/c of how the xbox and the ps3 have incorporated motion sensing gadgets into their systems that resemble the wii's type of play.

So what i'm mainly wondering is if the Wii system starting to die off like it's predecessor "the gamecube"?

With the Wii U looming on the horizon the Wii is pretty much on life-support. Almost no games are being developed for it any more.

I still play it often, actually. Well, often meaning during my days off work. Just finished Xenoblade Chronicles, now onto the Last Story.

There's still a few upcoming games that I'm looking forward to. I probably won't get the Wii U, so I'm hoping that if Dragon Quest X gets released over here, it will be available for the Wii here as well. I'm not getting my hopes up or anything... heh... just wishful thinking.

I don't personally own one, however when I'm at my friends house we occasionally all play Mario Kart on the Wii. I find it enjoyable. I know that most of the other games for it however like the newer zelda game are severely...lacking. To say the least.

Unless I'm not playing Pirated games on my HDD, it just sits there collecting dust.

I only use my Wii to play Animal Crossing. It gets the most appreciation when I have friends over and we end up raging over Mario Kart or Brawl.
Personally, I love Nintendo games. My favorite games are the most recent, like Skyward Sword, Mario Galaxy, Kirby`s Epic Yarn, and Fragile Dreams. However, I know these games can`t light a candle compared to its N64 or even Gamecube predesecors. I`m just awaiting to have enough money to buy Kirby`s Return to Dreamland. :x

Most the development is going to the 3DS. :L

With winter approaching, I might be able to bring my Wii console to some holiday gatherings. I figure that most of my friends can appreciate New Mario, SSB Brawl, Wii Play, and the dozen or so quality Virtual Console games that I have.

I've never subscribed to Netflix or Hulu Plus. Maybe I'll try one of them for Wii.

Haven't touch it in about a month or two. I have a reason why, though.

I found my old Nintendo 64 in the basement a few months ago. I then remembered, "Wait, I never beat Donkey Kong 64! Maybe I can do it now (since I'm older)!" So, that's what I've been playing.

I still love my Wii.

I never did find all of the collectables in DK64... Heh, well, I feel the same way from time to time; bringing out the old consoles and such. Speaking of the Nintendo 64... I've really been wanting to play Mischief Makers and Goemon's Great Adventure again. I should set up the 'ol N64 again too.

I use to play my white Nintendo Wii almost every day. In recent times though, it's been having a real hard time reading and playing discs, and for some reason, it gets really, really hot. So, to avoid a massive fire hazard, I've unplugged my white Wii and I've started using my red Nintendo Wii almost every day now instead. The Virtual Console and WiiWare games I have downloaded on my white Wii I plan to move to the Wii U once I get it going, and probably all of my save files on the system, too. I don't want to lose all the work I've put into games like Mario Kart Wii, Sonic Colors, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Animal Crossing: City Folk, or GoldenEye 007. Sure, I won't be able to use the Nintendo Gamecube controllers on them anymore, but it's a small price to pay to keep all of the hundreds of hours worth of play time I've put into the games.

In the meantime, I'm building new files for the likes of Brawl and GoldenEye on the red Wii, while enjoying some of the newer titles that I've obtained, such as Kirby's Dream Collection and Pikmin 2.

It was daily when I was playing Monster Hunter tri daily for a year, and I plan on doing that again this year if it's possible. I also play a few quick matches on TatsuVs.Cap from time to time.

I use my Wii Fit every single day. About to go do that now, in fact. I'm at 130 hours I think? >.<

We only got our Wii 2 years ago (limited edition 25th anniversary red console for the win) so we're still even buying games for it... but I reeeeeeeally want a Wii U. I would love to see an updated Wii Fit with the ability to recognize more than one board.

I really don't know about the "more than one board" thing, since the current Wii Balance Board connects to the Wii console by acting as Controller 4, but Wii Fit U is slated for the launch window of the Wii U console. That runs from November 18 2012 to March 31 2013.

Awww don't crush my hopes and dreams of having my own private yoga class in my living room! TT_TT Even with only 4 controllers slots... 2 boards + 2 controllers... Yeah, I'm totally going the optimistic route here...

I stopped keeping up with the Wii U about a month ago because I know I'm not gonna be able to get one when they first come out and it's just a bit depressing! >.< Slightly more so now that I know they're gonna have a Wii Fit for it!!
