The Crunchyroll iOS App is now Universal!

Here is a new thread for suggestions and to report problems with the new version of the CR app. I felt this might be necessary to avoid confusion since there is only ONE supported version of the app now.

Please provide the following when reporting bugs/problems:

Your OS version is in the Settings "app" -> General -> About.

FYI:

If you are using the iPad app you should download the new Universal app "Crunchyroll - Watch Anime and Drama Free!" This is the only app that CR will continue to support.

Also, if you updated your iPhone/iPod CR app and it does the "infinite load" just delete the app and re-download, it should work after that.

Just downloaded the new universal app for my iPad and can't select any videos to watch except for those in the featured tab. The previous iPad only app I had no problems, I could select and watch any video except those for premium members only. I do have a 2 week free trial for the premium account but still not able to view (can't even select) the videos.

5) Steps to reproduce the problem- I just play the video and the subs are cut. As soon as i take the screen shoot of the quality getting worse i will post it

Same problem for me. Dont know if as non premiummember it swiches to bad quality or my internetconection is too slow . But everytime after 2 or 3 minutes watching with iphone the quality changes from sharp to ugly mode. In ugly mode i gets even hard to read the subs..

I just downloaded the most recent update and ever since I haven't been able to open Crunchyroll. I tried for several days then I deleted and reinstalled it and it still didn't work, once again I tried for a couple of days and it still wouldn't open. So I tried the delete and reload again and still nothing it will load the white startup screen that says Crunchyroll and then shuts down. My iPod version is 3.1.3 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there was a massive bug that would crash the app on iOS3.1 - the latest update in the app store (v1.09) will fix it. Sorry about that!!

Sooo, just downloaded the new update for the iPad app. Now my videos won't play. At all. They load just fine, but once I get to the first frame, rather, when the timer is at 00:00, I press play and nothing happens. I tried playing other videos, but I got the same results. Anyone know what's going on, or is it just me? Also, when I could watch videos, the app would kick me out right after the episode i was watching finished. =\ it's frustrating!! D=

it's a known bug with the ipad video player - you'll notice some other apps will have the same problem. we are working on a workaround, but for now - rebooting your ipad seems to be the only solution.

I still cannot browse any k drama. I can only see the few featured ones, same as those in the website, in my crunchyroll app.

Any solution?

Currently, the majority of the Drama videos here are only available for people in North America since we don't have the right to distribute them elsewhere.
